bombshell.  I have stayed out of the weinergate thing, because I honestly didn't know what to make of it, although I thought it odd that he couldn't tell if that was a picture of his crotch or not.

this blows the lid off the whole thing.  I wonder if he will be compelled to resign, like republicans have been for the exact same offense.

A new woman has come forward with what she claims are photographs, chats, and emails with Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). These appear to undermine severely Rep. Weiner’s explanations that he was the victim of  a “prank” or a “hack.”

The detailed new information suggests that the Brooklyn- and Queens-based representative and the young woman in question were involved in an online, consensual relationship involving the mutual exchange of intimate photographs.

BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com were approached regarding this information more than a week prior to the separate, independent event of Friday, May 27, 2011, when a link to the now-infamous “gray underwear” photograph appeared publicly on Rep. Weiner’s Twitter feed.

and a woman has told radaronline that she has 200 explicit messages from wiener.  drip, drip, drip.

Another woman has come forward to RadarOnline.com and Star magazine and provided a sexting exchange with embattled New York Representative Anthony Weiner.

The woman says she has 200 sexually explicit messages from Weiner from a Facebook account the Democratic politician no longer uses.

biggest howler of the press conference.  he didn't lie to protect his wife, he lied to protect his ass, the greedy, self centered piece of crap. 

Weiner also said he would not resign and that he did not believe that he did anything that broke the law. Weiner said it was a mistake but that he was trying to protect his wife.

I really had not followed this story because I cannot stand the man to begin with. I just happened to go to a news channel when Breitbart was talking, saw the whole presser with Weiner.  What a joke. He said he worked long and hard  for his supporters of his district. Yeah lets say not hard enough......no wait he was hard in that one photo!!! 

He probably will not have to answer for this. Unless the dems turn on him and think he would be a liability for them. I think he is the main voice wanting Thomas in the Supreme court to recuse himself when the Obama/deathcare case goes to them.

I guess I just can't muster up enough whatever to care.  Just like that last republican dude that had a photo of him shirtless - didn't care.  Ensign - don't care.  Vitter - didn't care.  

The only part I'd remotely think there should be concern is like in the case of Ensign if there's sexual harassment involved.  But the rest of those guys?  Don't care.  

If the people he represents are upset they'll vote him out.  I think that's what this should boil down to.

edited to add:  I did throughly enjoy Mark Sanford admitting to an affair, only because the whole news conference was hil-a-ri-ous.  I actually felt a little sorry for him, since it did seem he truly loved his mistress or "soul mate" as he would say.

I think it's sad that people can't work up a "give a sh*t" about this.  first of all, I don't think the whole story is out yet.  I think it's possible that this guy is an online serial stalker.   that oughta piss off at least the feminist in you.  he seem to be only admitting the things that are impossible to deny any longer.  but there was a time that bringing ill repute down upon high federal office was a tremendous deal.  now, it's all "the voters will vote him out if they want".  I blame the utterly shameless bill clinton for this.

of all the possible offenses that ensign may have racked up, I think sexual harassment is definitely at the bottom of the offense sheet.  that sounds more than just a bit doctrinaire.  ensign could wind up in prison.

I told you this story wasn't finished.  there's no telling what else is out there.  he had to beat this wrap because he is just NECESSARY, dammit, and the ends justify the means.

Report: Anthony Weiner coached woman to lie

Rep. Anthony Weiner encouraged a porn star to lie about their on-line relationship and offered her the help of his public relations team, according to a report on Tuesday.

Weiner sent emails to former X-rated performer Ginger Lee – to whom he’d previously acknowledged sending innocuous messages via Twitter – coaching her to deny that they had been communicating, reported TMZ, which obtained the messages and says the two had exchanged “scores of sexual emails over a long period of time.”

“The key is to have a short, thought out statement that tackles the top line questions and then refer people back to it,” Weiner is alleged to have written in a June 1 email. “Have a couple of iterations of: ‘This is silly. Like so many others, I follow Rep. Weiner on Twitter. I don’t know him and have never met him. He briefly followed me and sent me a dm (direct message) saying thank you for the follow. That’s it.’”

The next day, Weiner asked Lee if she needed assistance in crafting a message to put out to the press and public. “Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice? I can have someone on my team call. (Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh).”
