And funnyman Katt Williams has been arrested again, this time on charges of gun-related child endangerment.
According to TMZ police collared the 44-year-old at his Los Angeles home on Saturday morning, following an investigation from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services.
They had concluded there were numerous guns and illegal drugs in the house that created a safety hazard for the kids.
He was initially held on $100,000 bail, while his four children have been put in protective custody.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told the Los Angeles Times one of the firearms seized from the comedian's residence was recently reported stolen.
Williams has not addressed the report.
After he was released the troubled stand-up star said: 'How do you keep kids safe without guns?'
He also denied his brood were in danger due to the firearms.
He said: 'If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you're gonna find guns!
'I'm not in a gang, what difference does it make?
The Obama Effect Star also denied drugs were in his Woodland Hills property, with one exception.
Arguing that cannabis should not really count, he said: 'Weed is not a drug.'
He is due in court on January 25.
