Violent episode of Syfy show Haven is pulled and Jack Reacher premiere postponed in wake of Sandy Hook shooting

A violent episode of hit Syfy show Haven was pulled on Friday night in the wake of the tragic Sandy Hook school shooting which left 28 people dead.

The episode, titled Reunion, centred around the story of a former student who 'wreaks havoc' when returning to the high school for an alumni reunion, according to the network.

In a statement, Syfy said of the decision not to air the episode: 'Tonight's scheduled 10 p.m. episode of Haven contained scenes of fictitious violence in a high school.
