Quote
New York real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump on Tuesday declared himself a candidate for the Republican nomination for president, launching his against-the-odds campaign after teasing one for years.

?I am officially running for president of the United States,? Trump said from inside his signature Trump Towers in midtown Manhattan. ?We are going to make our country great again.?

Trump flirted with a White House run in 2012 but ultimately did not enter the race. Though Trump is a first-time political candidate, he has become an influential voice in conservative political circles. He has spoken at political events in early-voting states, and makes frequent appearances on Fox News, among other outlets.

As he announced his bid, Trump also filed a financial statement putting his net worth at nearly $9 billion. All presidential candidates are required to file a financial disclosure.

Trump is too independent for the monied people to elect him.  He is a wildcard.  He will make the next 9-12 months entertaining.

And he does have some good ideas.  I agree that we have allowed ourselves to be taken advantage of, and it continues to get worse by the day.  H-1b visa people are flooding the country and displacing USA citizens from jobs, and this has to stop.

He does put a smile on your face.  His comment of making the Mexicans pay for a wall to separate our two countries had me chuckling!

Yes, he will do that to Cruz.  But unlike normal primaries, where after Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, there is a general sense of who the front runners are, this primary season will go to the person that has the biggest financial stamina.  That means unfortunately Bush will be a finalist, for he is loaded.

Quality people like Walker, Kasich may end up being forced out.  Idiot hypocrite losers like Santorum will be able to hang in until the end because he has Mellon money behind him.

Eventually, the Republican race becomes a Keystone Cop comedy.  There should be a rule that if you cannot win a primary in the first 10 or first 15 primaries, it is mandatory to bow out.  We will have 20+/- Republicans running, and it will be the Keystone Cops.  And what is worse, some of the best candidates may not make it into the initial debates, which does not help their branding.  For the first debate to include only the top ten based on polling is idiotic.  Number ten will only be drawing 2%, so why does he get in and the person drawing 1.8% is shut out?  Makes no sense.  Let all of them have a voice in the beginning.  Make it a 3 hour debate, seated versus standing.  That is about as long as most people would be able to withstand, and that would give each of them ample time to get a few ideas across.

If ever we need a change candidate, it is now.  One that returns America to greatness, if that is even remotely possible.

Trade deals that give away the store, that keep the details covert, they are NOT in the best interests of our country, and shame on the GOP for pushing this last deal through.  They do not represent the American people any better than the Democrats.
