All the glorious weekend has arrived! It's been brutal at work the last three weeks, we've been having non-stop reviews leading up to a major event that takes place next month. This week was actually a bit of a reprieve since there were no reviews, but we have three international reviews next week. On top of that there's been a major increase in travel for support for the event, so I almost, almost, have the entire flight schedule of DFW-ELP memorized.
Monday was Boss' Day, yeah I know - what day
isn't boss' day. I brought in a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting I made. I had found out from his wife that "strawberry with really sweet frosting" is his favorite, and man that was some sweeeeet frosting I made. Too sugary for me, but he loved it as did everyone else. As I told a co-worker "I can't help that Boss' Day just so happens to fall during performance assessment time."
This weekend I'm going to do a test run of a chocolate cake with peanut butter morsels in it. My dad's birthday is the 31st and that's what I'm making for him, but I'm going to test it on co-workers first.
To celebrate the weekend I'm listening to my favorite piece of music, Beethoven's 5th Symphony, 4th Movement Allegro.
