Today is one of those awful working Fridays.

I was actually going to make it to work at 7:40am, which is a bonus cause it means I can usually get a parking spot right in front of the building I work in.  Then I remembered that my boss is on vacation today, so BAM! I'm in his parking spot!   

Other good news, a memo came out from the CEO yesterday letting us know that if the govt shuts down we're still going to get our paychecks and there should be no furloughs.  Woo. 

In bad news, apparently my dad wants me to help him move something from his girlfriend's house to his house.  Oh holy crap, I think we all know how I feel about moving crap for my dad.  I was talking to my mom about it and said "well, apparently I just have all this ****ing free time, I mean it's not like I work full-time and go to school full-time."   :Smiley

Back to good news, 8 hrs till work is done for the day.

Unfortunately I'm not going to enjoy my Friday. I have to come up with another 10 bucks to get a transcript from TWU and send it to the local community college to send a transcript from the CC back to TWU. It's all kinds of screwed up. But this is my 3rd attempt, so I'm $30 bucks in the hole. This one I'm hand delivering and I'm not leaving until I know it's been taken care of.  But I get to drive to Gainesville to do it. An hour round trip because of people that can't keep track of paperwork. Screw them.

At least after this, I have a weekend of birthday festivities to look forward to so I can unwind. Lunch with my mom tomorrow, dinner and crawl with my friends Sunday, and Monday evening will find me sitting on the back porch with a good book, a stogie and a bottle of Makers Mark.

I'm not doing it this weekend for sure. He did ask if maybe he could just borrow my car.
