Nickelodeon calls promotion of Jason Biggs' Twitter account 'a mistake' following lewd posts

Quote
Nickelodeon has called their recent actions "a mistake" following a scandal involving actor Jason Biggs, who sent a series of extremely graphic and lewd tweets before having his page promoted by the network.

According to screenshots obtained by Twitchy.com, the alleged messages in question, which were deleted by the actor shortly after sending them, suggest an extremely lewd sexual act involving Janna Ryan.

Users reached out to Nickelodeon sponsors like General Mills, Kellogs and Kraft Foods and threatened to boycott their products if they did not stop advertising on the network.

In a statement to Breitbart.com, whose managing editor Alexander Marlow emailed a complaint to the network’s vice president of programming, Nickelodeon offered the following explanation.

“The offensive comments made by Jason Biggs last week on his personal twitter account do not reflect our company’s views or values, and we condemn them. Nickelodeon does not support or condone the use of graphic or vulgar language on any of our platforms.

Strikeout: Rockies Cancel 'Nickelodeon Day' In Wake of Biggs' Misogynist Tweets

Quote
The fallout from Jason Biggs' misogynistic Tweets against the wives of the GOP presidential ticket reached a Mile High pitch today.

The Colorado Rockies had planned to hold a "Nickelodeon Day" at Denver's Coors Field Sept. 23. That didn't sit well with some Colorado residents who were aghast that Biggs, who voices Leonardo in the upcoming Nickelodeon show "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," would say demeaning things about both Ann Romney and Janna Ryan.

The Rockies franchise initially refused to bend to public pressure. Today, the baseball team listened to its fan base.
