Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton?s top aides, used personal email accounts to conduct government business in addition to a State Department email and an account on the controversial server Mrs. Clinton kept at her New York home, the State Department confirmed to a federal court Friday.

The State Department admitted to the judge that it doesn?t have control over those documents, and can?t be sure it has all of the records from their time in the administration.

More than 300 of former Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton?s emails ? or 5.1 percent of those processed so far ? have been flagged for potential secret information, the State Department reported to a federal court Monday.

Officials insisted, however, that the screening process is running smoothly and they are back on track after falling behind a judge?s schedule for making all of the emails public.

The reviewers have screened about 20 percent of the 30,000 emails Mrs. Clinton returned to the department, which means if the rate of potentially secret information remains steady, more than 1,500 messages will have to

When State Department officials first discovered that Hillary Rodham Clinton's personal email account contained classified information, they did not seize the thumb drive containing her digitally archived inbox but rather provided her attorney a special safe to secure the device, according to interviews and documents.

The move allowed Mrs. Clinton's attorney to keep the device for several additional weeks while State officials reviewed paper copies of the emails for possible classified data. Officials were unconcerned that the thumb drive remained out of their possession because preservation orders from courts and Congress would ensure that her attorney would not destroy the evidence. The digital archive was turned over to the FBI for examination this month.

Throughout the review process, career State officials who normally handle the release of data under the Freedom of Information Act ran into disagreements with attorneys about which information in the emails was classified, The Washington Times has learned.

I will continue to ask the question not being asked.  What USA assets were compromised as a result of her total disregard for security protocols?  Yes, I am saying there are people dead, people imprisoned because of her violation of well established laws for regulating what is deemed Classified, Secret and Top Secret communications.

And Hillary Clinton is out there joking about it all.  If justice is served, and people have died because of her gross negligence, then she needs to be indicted, convicted and dispatched.  At a minimum, if she lived the length of 100 lives, she would not serve out the time for the infractions of the law as committed by her.

Judicial Watch: State Department Did Not Provide Secure BlackBerry to Hillary Clinton

Judicial Watch announced that the State Department asserts in its most recent filing with the court the State Department did not issue personal computing devices to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and possibly destroyed the Blackberries of her aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills:

    [The State Department] does not believe that any personal computing device was issued by the Department to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and has not located any such device at the Department. [The State Department] believes that Ms. Mills and Ms. Abedin were each issued BlackBerry devices. [The State Department] has not located any such device at the Department ? Because the devices issued to Ms. Mills and Ms. Abedin would have been outdated models, in accordance with standard operating procedures those devices would have been destroyed or excessed.

State did identify the ?state.gov? email accounts of Mills, Abedin and two other former officials, but stated that Clinton ?did not use a state.gov account.?

The filing follows the recent court order granting Judicial Watch?s request for a hearing this week, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 12:00 p.m., which had previously been scheduled for September. State recently sought a one-week extension from the court, and the judge denied it (the court changed the time of the hearing to 1 p.m.)

BlackBerry devices used by two former Hillary Clinton aides during her time as Secretary of State have most likely been destroyed or sold off by the agency, a State Department official said in a court filing Wednesday.

The devices, used by Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, have not been located by the agency, State Department Executive Secretary Joseph Macmanus wrote in a filing submitted in a Washington federal court, adding that the agency?s ?standard procedure upon return of such devices is to perform a factory reset (which removes any user settings or configurations)  and then to re-issue the device  to another employee, to destroy it, or to excess it.?

?Because the devices issued to Ms. Mills and Ms. Abedin would have been outdated models, in accordance with standard operating procedures those devices would have been destroyed or excessed,? Macmanus wrote.

He also said that Clinton did not have a BlackBerry from the State Department or any other device. ?SES/IRM (Two State Department offices) does not believe that any personal computing device was issued by the Department to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and has not located any such device at the Department,? Macmanus wrote.

WASHINGTON? Hillary Clinton?s campaign said Wednesday that emails on the private server she used when she was secretary of state contained material that is now classified, the clearest explanation thus far of an issue that has roiled her bid for the presidency.

At the same time, the campaign sought to play down the disclosure by saying the material had been retroactively classified out of an abundance of caution by U.S. intelligence agencies.

?She was at worst a passive recipient of unwitting information that subsequently became deemed as classified,? said Brian Fallon, a spokesman for Mrs. Clinton?s campaign.

Mrs. Clinton has been criticized for using a private email server when she was in office. Since 2013, the server was maintained by a small Denver company and stored at a secure data center in New Jersey until it was turned over to the FBI last week. Her use of the server has prompted an FBI counterintelligence investigation.

For months, the U.S. State Department has stood behind its former boss Hillary Clinton as she has repeatedly said she did not send or receive classified information on her unsecured, private email account, a practice the government forbids.

While the department is now stamping a few dozen of the publicly released emails as "Classified," it stresses this is not evidence of rule-breaking. Those stamps are new, it says, and do not mean the information was classified when Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner in the 2016 presidential election, first sent or received it.

But the details included in those "Classified" stamps ? which include a string of dates, letters and numbers describing the nature of the classification ? appear to undermine this account, a Reuters examination of the emails and the relevant regulations has found.

The new stamps indicate that some of Clinton's emails from her time as the nation's most senior diplomat are filled with a type of information the U.S. government and the department's own regulations automatically deems classified from the get-go ? regardless of whether it is already marked that way or not.

Dozens of emails that passed through Hillary Clinton's server during her time as secretary of state reportedly contained information automatically considered classified by the U.S. government and State Department's own regulations.

According to Reuters, at least 30 e-mail threads dating from as far back as 2009 contained what the State Department describes as "foreign government information." That number represents scores of individual emails that have already been made public, including 17 sent by Clinton herself. At least one of those emails was sent to longtime supporter Sidney Blumenthal, who did not hold a government position at the time.

The report says that the State Department identified the emails as containing "foreign government information" when it retroactively classified them upon their release earlier this year. However, the regulations say that such information, defined as having been provided orally or in writing to U.S. officials by their foreign counterparts in confidence, must be "presumed" classified, regardless of whether it is initially marked that way.
