Whatever the case may be regarding the school, here is more evidence that the Tsarnaev brothers were motivated by Islam's teachings of jihad warfare against unbelievers. "Boston, suspected attackers may have trained in Chechen Islamic school," from Asia News, April 20 (thanks to C. Cantoni):

    Boston (AsiaNews / Agencies) - A Youtube site linked to pages glorifying terrorism, a certificate of attendance at a school in Makhachkala, capital of Dagestan (Chechnya), and several references to the Islamic religion: this is the profile of the Tsarnaev brothers, prime suspects in the Boston massacre on April 14 last, both defined by the press as "devout Muslims". The revelations have already spread on U.S. media and arrived in Russia reported by Interfax news agency. The Moscow based network of has investigated the recent past of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26 years old, killed yesterday by U.S. security forces and Dzhokhar, his younger brother, 19 years old, captured by police last night, after a massive man hunt. The young man was wounded and had taken refuge in a boat in Watertown. In a statement to the nation, President Obama said that the U.S. would not give in to terrorism "but there are still so many questions to be answered."

    Both of Chechen origin, but born in Kyrgyzstan, the two brothers had immigrated to the United States in 2003 and lived in Cambridge, a suburb of Boston. The eldest, Tamerlan, was a former engineering student. In 2012 he opened a page on Youtube with his name. According to the data of the account in the Russian language, the young man navigated suspicious sites, close to radical Islam. Among the films uploaded, many touch on "conversion to Islam" and "Islamic terrorism." From 1999 to 2001, the young man is reported to have attended a school in Dagestan. In his application he is reported to have made reference to his devotion to Islam. However, the latter source is yet to be verified.

The older brother from all accounts was a nice kid. Then he went to Russia for 6 months. When he came back he was full on radical. That for me is a huge red flag.

Feds 'investigating possibility that the government's terror-trackers knew about the Boston bombers before the blasts'

Federal law enforcement officials are actively investigating the possibility that the Boston bombers were known to the government’s terror-trackers, MailOnline understands.

Any inquiry into the marathon bombing will look into whether agents could have taken action – but didn’t – to prevent the Tsarnaev brothers from obtaining the explosives that killed 3 and wounded 173 others.

CBS News reported Friday evening that two years ago, the FBI interviewed the elder brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed in Thursday night's dramatic shootout. The feds reportedly spoke to him at the request of an unspecified foreign government, but couldn't establish that he had ties to terrorist radicals.

Tamerlan left the United States in January 2012 for Russia and returned in mid-July, according to records uncovered by NBC in New York.

But an official inside the Department of Homeland Security with knowledge of federal law enforcement activities in Massachusetts has claimed to MailOnline that Tamerlan was on the radar screen of agents in Boston between his return to the U.S. and the end of the fall.
