Teacher Resigns After Student Finds Out About Her Porn Star PastAOL NewsIt's the history lesson one Missouri teacher hoped she would never have to cover. St. Louis science teacher Tera Myers stepped down Friday after a student confronted her about her past working as an actress in X-rated films. The 38-year-old Parkway North High School educator -- who starred in pornographic videos in the 1990s under the name Rikki Andersin -- has been placed on administrative leave, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She will be paid through the rest of the school year but will not teach classes or return to her post next year. -snip- I feel for the woman. She's moved out of that life and says it was a bad decision she made and it keeps kicking her back. I wonder if she changed her name if that would help her in the future. |

Your past is a part of you and should be judged on your actions. It is the the only thing we should judge people by.
But her actions include moving out of that life. And I don't equate child molesters to porn since porn is legal and child molesting is not. And a gang banger that has turned his life around should be applauded not derided. Same with this woman. |

we all have things in our past that we aren't particularly proud of. I do understand that parents wouldn't want a former porn star teaching their kids. I would think, though, that if they knew her personally, they would drop their objections.
from what I can gather from google, she seems to be a good citizen since she hit middle age.
but I'm not there, so that is all pretty much a guess.

she was a porn star 20 years ago. people change. even Christ forgives. She has shown an abject of moral reasoning, I place porn stars and prostitutes in the same category as sex offenders. They have no business being an influence on children.
