What a crazy crazy day, I hope the rest of the week is better.

First, I miraculously arrived at work on time at 7:30am with 12 dozen cupcakes. Then there was the sorting of cupcakes, and I had to drive some over to another building.  Cupcakes were a big hit.

Then the VP over our division wanted an "all hands" meeting with our team.  I sent out an email about 20 min beforehand (which is actually pretty good, the last time we had a last minute all hands they got an 8 min notice).  It still shocks me when I sent out such a notice that everyone actually arrives.  heh  So the VP arrived and I escorted him back to the conference room and I didn't trip and fall down.  He declined a cupcake.

On top of that I was behind on my actual work since I was out sick last Thurs & Fri.  So I'm trying to type up my first report (done at the end of the week), so I can read everyone's inputs and type up the second report that I do on Mondays.  Woo.

I was supposed to meet with my international law professor today too, but I was way too busy to leave for a couple/three hours, so I called her at 9 to tell her I couldn't make it.  Really any other day this week I can meet with her to discuss international intellectual property rights (exciting!).

I did get to talk to my boss a bit today.  He's out on travel again this week, but may get to come back early depending on what's decided tomorrow morning at 5am.  I told him if he wants his flight changed, don't call me at 5am, I'll be asleep.   He said "but it'll be 6am your time" to which I replied "yeah, I'll still be asleep."  Cheesy

I'm usually busy on Mondays but this was compounded since I was out last Thursday and Friday. Plus the unexpected visit by the VP. And really does he have to show up when I'm skirting the dress code by wearing jeans? At least I didn't trip and fall down. That's a constant fear.  Cheesy

I'm just getting home, ...tired, and heading to bed.

Good night!

Sat around all morning, made lunch, then went and bought some new clothes at the outlet mall.  Cooked myself a nice dinner and F'd around on the internet all night. CTO days are nice. :-)
