cliff lee's GiDP in the ninth was symbolic of the entire night.  10 LOB.  I don't even want to think about how many of those were in scoring position.  if LA was EVER going to beat cole hammels, last night was the night.  with pedro martinez going tonight, I can envision going to philly down 0-2, facing three games at their place, and cliff lee hasn't even pitched yet.  that's pretty much the nightmare scenario.

yet, a team that gave up TWO 3 run homeruns and was still in it at the end must have some redeeming qualities . . .
