Several people were injured after reports of an active shooter at a Texas high school Friday morning, school officials confirmed. The suspected shooter was taken into custody.

Police officers responded to Santa Fe High School around 8 a.m. CDT after reports that a shooter opened fire inside. Details of the incident were not immediately available.

"Details will be released as we receive updated information. Law enforcement will continue to secure the building and initiate all emergency management protocols to release and move students to another location," the school district said in a statement.

SANTA FE, Texas (KTRK) --
Authorities tell Eyewitness News that 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis was the gunman in the deadly shooting that unfolded Friday morning inside Santa Fe High School, killing 10 people and injuring 10 more.

Pagourtzis was arrested, and authorities say he is a student at the high school.

His Facebook page also listed a possible interest in the United States Marines Corps, "starting in 2019." ABC News reached out to the Pentagon, and they said they do not have record of anyone with the last name Pagourtzis in Marine Corps.

Pagourtzis describes himself as an atheist for religious views, and "I hate politics" for political views. He also posted photos of himself, his gaming station setup, and t-shirts. He posted a photo on April 30, 2018 of a t-shirt that says "Born to Kill."

On the same day, he also posted a photo of a jacket with pins of various symbols (Communist party, Iron Cross, Rising Sun, baphomet, and Cthulhu).

Once again, the Left jumped the gun [pun intended]: There was NO AR-15 used. LEOs recovered a SHOTGUN and a REVOLVER. No semi-augto rifles/ handguns.

Cnn on the crawl that gives updates to stories said the cops had a 25 min shootout with him. That is the only place I have seen that info, yet admit I haven't been watching much TV news of late.

A UK paper right after this happened said he had a AR-15....of course it was a lie. How the heck did he get those pipe bombs and pressur cooker bombs in the school?

I can see how he might have got the shotgun in with the trench coat. But the bombs??? Duffle bag? Cnn said the bombs didn't have timers so they couldn't go off.

Once again we will never know the whole truth on this one either.
