DETROIT (AP) ? Governors across the U.S. have threatened to stop accepting Syrian refugees following last week's attacks in Paris, even as experts counter they lack legal authority to block the relocations.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama, whose administration recently pledged to accept about 10,000 Syrian refugees, argued Monday that the United States needs to allow them because many are fleeing terrorism.

Some state leaders disagree with Obama's assertion the country can simultaneously welcome refugees seeking safety and ensure citizens' security. Several have called for a complete halt to resettlement, others for temporary delays and a few seek more information from federal officials on the vetting process.

The Homeland Security Department says refugees face the highest level of security screening of anybody entering the U.S., but officials will work to allay states' concerns.

Either Congress steps up and puts an end to the unlimited powers of the executive branch, or hundreds if not thousands of Americans will die needlessly.

With 429 days until this clown is out of office, Congress must do their job.  Either pass legislation to halt Obama, or impeach him.

The Syrian refugees are not our problem, they are Assad's.

Assad is not our problem.  If anything, he is Putin's problem, for Putin has solidly backed him to date.  I agree with Trump with his position of letting Putin address the issues in Syria.  Our focus should be Iraq, for we have done such a criminally negligent job there.  Our coward of a president screwed that country totally, and many thousands are dead courtesy of the T-baller President.

ISIS exists solely because of his cowardice.  All those people who had their heads whacked off, all the people set on fire, and hung, and murdered by the muslims in the middle east are on his head.

There are easily 100 actions committed by the current president that any one of them would warrant his immediate impeachment.  So, why isn't Congress doing their job?
