Wikileaks has released nearly 20,000 emails it says are from the accounts of Democratic National Committee officials.

The release could cloud the upcoming Democratic party convention, which kicks off next week in Philadelphia.

[dcquiz] It is unclear how Wikileaks obtained the records, but the release comes weeks after a hacker (or hackers) going by the name Guccifer 2.0 began releasing records obtained through the DNC?s computer systems. The hacker claims to be Romanian, but many suspect that the records were taken by a team of Russian hackers.

Guccifer 2.0 has said that they obtained DNC emails. Other documents released by the hacker(s) include internal planning memos and databases of Democratic donors.

The DNC, which is chaired by Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has acknowledged that their systems were infiltrated. The party has not commented on specific information released through the hack.

According to Wikileaks, which is operated by Julian Assange, the release is ?part one? of a new series it is calling ?Hillary Leaks.?

The emails come from the accounts of seven DNC officials: communications director Luis Miranda, national finance director Jordon Kaplan, finance chief of staff Scott Comer, finance director of data and strategic initiatives Daniel Parrish, finance director Allen Zachary, senior advisor Andrew Wright and Northern California Finance Director and the finance director for northern California, Robert Stowe.

The emails range in date from Jan. 2015 to May 25 of this year.

?Wondering if there?s a good Bernie narrative for a story, which is that Bernie never ever had his act together, that his campaign was a mess,? Paustenbach wrote in the email on May 21, 2016.

?Specifically, DWS had to call Bernie directly in order to get the campaign to do things because they?d either ignored or forgotten to something critical. She had to call Bernie after the data breach to make his staff to respond to our concerns. Even then they didn?t get back to us, which is why we had to shut off their access in order to get them to finally let us know exactly how they snooped around HFA?s data.

This e-mail leak comes after several DNC files were leaked by the Romanian hacker Guccifer 2.0 showing that the Democratic Party was colluding with the Hillary Clinton campaign on a general election strategy the day Sanders launched his campaign.

This type of collusion is what we?ve previously outlined and labeled ?Media Agenda-Polls?.  In the example above it was/is CBS News allowing the DNC to write the script.   However, we?ve previously shared numerous examples of NBC/WSJ polls which showed clear evidence of the same arrangements.

Pollster Mark Murray (NBC) is notorious for capturing and then promoting agenda poll data.  Throughout the primary season all of NBC?s polls were specifically intended to prop up Hillary Clinton and detract from Bernie Sanders.   Mark Murray does the same thing with NBC/WSJ polling for Clinton -v- Trump comparisons.

Pollster Patrick Murray (Monmouth University) is also part of this structural compromise. Again, we?ve outlined how they do it, and they have become entirely predictable in their behavior.  We can also predict their releases simply by looking at the political calendar.

EXAMPLE ? The weekend prior to the RNC Convention, NBC releases polls supporting Hillary Clinton.  The Monday the convention begins, Monmouth releases polling doing exactly the same thing.

Both the NBC Polling (M Murray) and the Monmouth polling (P Murray) were agenda polls (just like all prior releases); their polls were also fundamentally disconnected from scientific Rasmussen polling released only a few days earlier.

The average person has no idea how vast the scope of the media manipulation is when it comes to data driven political stories.   The same ideological biases within the day-to-day stories about ongoing events are present in the data stories (polls).  As a consequence we remind everyone that media polling should be entirely ignored; it?s simply all ?agenda polling?.

?         Black Lives Matter movement finds influencing 2016 contest a challenge; The protest organization drew no mention during the second GOP presidential debate: "There were more than 34,000 words uttered during the three-hour Republican presidential primary debate Wednesday night.

None of them were "black lives matter."

For more than a year, the nation has been locked in a passionate discussion about race and policing - driven by the killing of unarmed black men and women by police officers. But, as underscored Wednesday night, the movement that has funneled thousands of protesters into American streets, prompted new scrutiny of law enforcement and forced Democratic presidential candidates into several stumbles on the trail, has yet to receive significant attention in the GOP race.

How to best influence the 2016 presidential contest remains a challenge for activists and organizers working under the Black Lives Matter banner - in part because different factions of the movement disagree starkly over the best way to do so.

Those tactical disagreements will be front and center this weekend during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual policy conference, which features an expansive list of panels with participants as diverse as protesters and policymakers who have risen to prominence during the current protest movement.

"The real goal is to drive the narrative around the presidential debate," said Nick Mosby, the Baltimore City Council member who represents the neighborhood where riots erupted this spring after the death of Freddie Gray of an injury he suffered while in police custody. "And that's really hard."

Several protest groups have vowed to continue staging demonstrations at candidates' public appearances, a tactic that has drawn significant criticism in political and protest circles. Other activists, including DeRay Mckesson - who is perhaps the nation's most widely recognized protester linked to the movement - have focused on policy meetings, pressuring candidates to engage on the details of policing and criminal justice. On Wednesday, Mckesson was among activists who met separately with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Obama, to discuss Campaign Zero, their policing and criminal justice policy platform.

"The movement have brought issues of police and criminal justice to the forefront in ways that we haven't seen in decades," Mckesson said. "All of the campaigns will continue to need to think deeply about the issues that the unrest has brought to the fore."

And on Friday, a new, bipartisan group, comprising young, black lawmakers and public professionals will arrive in Washington to meet with the Democratic and Republican national committees with the hope of succeeding where they think the young activists have fallen short thus far: getting the GOP candidates to take policing reform seriously.

The Republican candidates are not the only ones under pressure. Some of the movement's biggest headlines of the summer came when members interrupted Democratic candidates Sanders and Martin O'Malley during a liberal policy conference organized in Phoenix by the group Netroots Nation.

"Our group was pretty much solidified after the Netroots situation," said Ashley Bell, who is one of two chairs of 20/20 Leaders of America, an alliance of 40 young, black elected officials and policymakers that is evenly composed of Democrats and Republicans.

But the disruptive protests were not an unqualified success. They drew criticism from many on both sides of the political aisle, causing some who want to see policing and criminal justice reform to worry that the protest movement would not be taken seriously by presidential candidates.

"There was a lot of concern that we needed to make sure the candidates had a venue and marketplace to talk about these issues," said Bell, a Republican and former county commissioner in Hall County, Ga. "The next president might not be African American. If not, we need to make sure the next president understands the issues that affect black communities."

Bell said his group has held preliminary policy talks with the presidential campaigns of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisc.). The group has also invited the candidates to a presidential forum in November at Allen University in South Carolina.

An RNC official confirmed Wednesday that during the meeting Friday, 20/20 will present policy proposals on policing and criminal justice that are being considered for inclusion in the Republican Party's 2016 party platform.

"We definitely have a long way to go," said Aja Brown, the mayor of Compton, Calif., who is in Washington this week. "We have to get to that moment where all of the candidates are really discussing the issues at the forefront of the national headlines so we can have a candid conversation about race, education and economic opportunity."

In two debates that stretched for a combined five hours, the candidates in the Republican presidential field were asked just one question about what some on the left consider a new civil rights movement.

"It was wildly disappointing for them to have a three-hour debate [Wednesday] and not once bring up these issues, which have completely altered the national conversation," Mckesson said.

On Wednesday night, the only time the word "police" was uttered by a candidate was during a response by Paul about medical marijuana. The most memorable of just a handful of exchanges about criminal justice reform involved Jeb Bush's apology to his mother for smoking marijuana 40 years ago.

"Our country is at a fork in the road," said Chelsi Henry, a conservative columnist for Ebony magazine and a member of 20/20. "These issues have come up during presidential elections before. What makes it so unique this time around is that we want to see more than a talking point."

That has been the message delivered consistently by Mckesson and the others who came to prominence as activists after the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown, 18, in Ferguson, Mo., in 2014. That message was the focus of their sit-down with Sanders on Wednesday.

The activists who met with Sanders were Mckesson, Johnetta Elzie, Brittany Packnett and Samuel Sinyangwe - the team behind Campaign Zero - as well as Erika Totten, a Washington-based activist and organizer, and Martinez Sutton, the brother of Rekia Boyd, an unarmed black woman who was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer in Chicago in 2012.

After that session, Mckesson, Elzie and Packnett went to the White House and met with Jarrett and Roy Austin Jr., the deputy assistant to the president for urban affairs, in a meeting that included Phillip Agnew, of the Dream Defenders, and Jamye Wooten, of Baltimore United for Change.

"We've seen broad engagement with Campaign Zero, at all levels of the politics," Mckesson said. "I'm encouraged. And I'm hopeful that the conversation with the White House is a beginning and will result in tangible things that affect these issues. The conversation only matters if it informs practice that impacts people's lives."

Campaign Zero has earned the praise of prominent Democratic operatives and some activists, but it has also drawn the skepticism of some activists not involved in it - highlighting significant divisions among the young activists.

"There is no doubt in my mind that our country must be aggressive in addressing institutional racism and a broken criminal justice system," Sanders said in a statement after his meeting with the activists. "I look forward to a continuing dialogue with Campaign Zero and other voices from communities of color to address deeply entrenched racial and economic problems in our country."

Sanders and Hillary Rodham Clinton, the front-runner in the Democratic presidential race, are aggressively courting black voters, who were crucial to the Obama coalition.

"It's not going to be easy to get our votes," Patrisse Cullors, another police-reform activist, said in a previous interview. "But if they're feeling compelled to meet with the people who have been leading the Black Lives Matter movement, then things are headed in the right direction." Ferguson, mo. - Quiet returned to the streets of this St. Louis County city on Tuesday, hours after more than 20 people were arrested during demonstrations marking the first anniversary of the fatal shooting of Michael Brown.

After hundreds of protesters began marching into a street Monday night, police using loudspeakers told them to move out of traffic. When they didn't comply, officers advanced and took several people into custody.

At least one officer also fired pepper spray into the crowd. More arrests followed before protests and the police presence began to diminish at 1a.m. Tuesday.

In St. Louis on Monday, police arrested 57 people during protests outside the Thomas F. Eagleton Courthouse. The demonstrations were part of events dubbed #MoralMonday.

?         DeRay McKesson Tweets - Then Deletes - Claim That Virginia Shooter Was White: "Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson continued his pattern of jumping to conclusions and getting his facts wrong on Wednesday when he tweeted out to his 200,000 followers that the man who fatally shot a TV reporter and cameraman in Virginia was white.

McKesson quibbled with initial reports that the shooter -- who had not been identified at the time -- was a disgruntled ex-employee. The activist, who began touring the country as an organized protester after the Michael Brown shooting last year, appeared to believe that the shooter was white. He compared the initial reports to how Muslims are characterized as "terrorists" following similar incidents.

McKesson deleted the tweet after the shooter was identified as Vester Lee Flanagan, a 41-year-old black man. He later acknowledged his incorrect tweet laying blame on false reports, but did not offer an apology.

...Ironically, earlier on Wednesday, McKesson appeared on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" to talk about his activism and the Black Lives Matter movement and scolded a critical caller for not getting her facts correct.

The caller argued that McKesson should focus more on cases of so-called black-on-black crime.

McKesson himself has been accused of playing fast-and-loose with the facts in the past. In many of the cases he's protested -- from the Michael Brown case to Freddie Gray's death to Sandra Bland's -- McKesson has made claims to his large Twitter following that turned out to be false.

McKesson has become a hot commodity for several presidential campaigns. Hillary Clinton invited him to a campaign event in June. And Bernie Sanders reached out to him on Twitter to set up a meeting to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement." Democratic National Committee documents recently released by WikiLeaks include spreadsheets and emails that appear to show party officials planning which donors and prominent fundraisers to provide with appointments to federal boards and commissions.

The documents, which were circulated among top DNC officials in April, could raise legal questions for the party, says Ken Boehm, the chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.

?The disclosed DNC emails sure look like the potential Clinton Administration has intertwined the appointments to federal government boards and commissions with the political and fund raising operations of the Democratic Party,? Boehm told The Daily Caller.

?That is unethical, if not illegal.?

PHILADELPHIA ? Leaked emails show the Democratic National Committee scrambled this spring to conceal the details of a joint fundraising arrangement with Hillary Clinton that funneled money through state Democratic parties.

But during the three-month period when the DNC was working to spin the situation, state parties kept less than one half of one percent of the $82 million raised through the arrangement ? validating concerns raised by campaign finance watchdogs, state party allies and Bernie Sanders supporters.

The arrangement, called the Hillary Victory Fund, allowed the Clinton campaign to seek contributions of hundreds of thousands of dollars to attend extravagant fundraisers including a dinner at George Clooney?s house and a concert at Radio City Music Hall featuring Katy Perry and Elton John. That?s resulted in criticism for Clinton, who has made opposition to big money in politics a key plank in her campaign platform.

The radical leftist collective known as WikiLeaks tried to ruin the Democratic convention by posting a trove of Democratic National Committee emails that easily proved that party leader Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her staff shunned neutrality in favor of pushing Hillary Clinton's nomination. The Bernie Sanders socialists were enraged, their suspicions confirmed.

The media paid some attention to that, especially when Schultz was quickly ousted from her job. Guess what else was confirmed, which the media largely skipped over? The evidence in the emails that revealed great chumminess and coordination between Democrats and the supposedly "objective" national press.

You really don't need an email collection to know this. After all, NBC "News" hired Chelsea Clinton for $600,000 a year to make some of the most sleep-inducing "happy news" stories to ever air on television. She was producing stories less than once a month, or more than $50,000 a pop.

In February, Gawker made a Freedom of Information Act request for government emails from Hillary Clinton's PR aide Philippe Reines. The disclosed emails exposed Politico big-foot Mike Allen. He offered a cozy Politico chat with Chelsea Clinton: "No one

Asked whether his group was being used to manipulate the U.S. politics, he continued: 'So what is the accusation here precisely? No one disputes even a single email that we have published ... He indicated his team was reviewing the material for proper presentation and has already verified its accuracy.

Too bad the FBI could not do this.  These releases will render the FBI useless.

Clinton should be indicted, convicted and dispatched for high treason, and I suspect WikiLeaks will prove this.  Our government is corrupt, our media is corrupt. How does anyone really know what is going on?

*Clinton directly armed and commissioned known terrorists and sworn foes with weapons in Libya, a direct violation of UN Security Council resolution 1973, which called for a complete arms embargo on Libya.

*Clinton and Obama together financed Al-Qaeda to overthrow Libyan government and stockpile weapons, including tanks and heavy artillery, which were ultimately shipped from Libya to terror factions in Syria and elsewhere.

*According to intelligence sources, many of the weapons supplied to Al-Qaeda factions were believed to have be used against Americans in the Sept. 11 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, and two CIA operatives, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, both former Navy SEALs. Stevens is the first U.S. ambassador killed in an attack since Adolph Dubs was killed in 1979.

But the United States didn?t act alone. Using the public guise of humanitarian intervention in Libya to prevent a massacre by the Gaddafi regime, Britain, France and Egypt acted with the U.S. to train and arm Al-Qaeda to assassinate Gaddafi and stockpile weapons to eventually ship to Syrian. Also, the United Nations and several key NATO countries, including the U.S., also assisted this rebel regime with air strikes. Gaddafi was eventually assassinated on Oct. 20, 2011 at the hands of the Libyan rebels, less than six months after Blumenthal?s email.

Blumenthal?s detailed intelligence briefing highlights a list of weapons commissioned by the U.S. the Libyan ?rebels? had stockpiled in Benghazi for the plot against Gaddafi.

    These knowledgeable sources add that the insurgents have the following weapons stockpiled in Benghazi:

    82 and 120 mm. mortars;

    GPZ type machine guns;

    12.7mm. machine guns mounted on 4?4 vehicles;

    some anti-aircraft batteries type ZSU 23/2 and 23/4 as well as Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems (MANPADS) type SAM7;

    some tanks type T-72;

    Possibly some fixed wing aircraft, and

    some light transport/medium helicopters.

    A seemingly endless supply of AK47 assault rifles and ammunition (even for systems ZSU 23/4 and 23/2).

Blumental likewise details that French, British and Egyptian Special Forces troops were training the rebels inside of western Egypt and in the western suburbs of Benghazi. He likewise acknowledges that the foreign ?troops are overseeing the transfer of weapons and supplies to the rebels,? a direct violation of international law and UN resolutions.

Over the last few weeks, FiveThirtyEight?s forecasts for who will win the presidential election transitioned from a virtual tie between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, to Clinton now taking an 81.7 percent chance of victory compared to 18.3 percent for Trump. At the end of July, polls were bouncing back and forth between Clinton and Trump, but recent polls show Clinton with leads as high as 14 points.

No policy stances have changed in either the Trump or Clinton campaigns during the past two weeks. Trump has provoked negative publicity with boorish comments, but given his entire presidential campaign so far, this isn?t out of the ordinary. The seemingly impressionable voter base that falls in line behind mainstream reporting is alarming. The media?s impact on elections shouldn?t be underestimated. It does, however, illuminates the importance of objectivity and balance from the mainstream press, which has been particularly lacking this campaign season.

The July Wikileaks release of nearly 20,000 Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails validated the concerns of Bernie Sanders supporters that the DNC helped rig the primary election for Clinton. These emails provided a glimpse into how the DNC and the mainstream media work together in providing public relations support for the Democratic establishment.

Rather than informing voters to enrich democracy, the mainstream media has developed a feedback loop between support for particular candidates and the political agenda they intend to support. The freedom of the press is necessary for a democracy to function. This freedom was subverted by the DNC at the consent of the mainstream media outlets. Instead of remaining autonomous, they allowed themselves to be manipulated by the DNC to back Clinton?s coronation as the Democratic presidential nominee.

Some of the emails released show both CNN and Politico had articles pre-approved by the DNC prior to publication. Politico reporter Ken Vogel had DNC Communications Director Luis Miranda look over an article before he sent it to editors as part of an agreement. Politico has since called Vogel?s actions ?a mistake.?
