In 1951 the DUMONT network also had a detective show about an Asian woman played by an Asian woman, unlike that other famous show that was starred by a white man pretending to be Asian.

DUMONT was ahead of its time but didn't have the big corporation backing it like NBC and CBS and then its "partner" Paramount betrayed it and supported ABC which was a smaller network too.

The Honeymooners started off with DUMONT before a contract dispute caused them to go to CBS even thought it was filmed in a DUMONT studio.

In 1996, early television actress Edie Adams testified at a hearing in front of a panel of the Library of Congress on the preservation of American television and video. Adams stated that by the 1970s little value was given to the DuMont film archive, and that all the remaining kinescopes of DuMont series were loaded into three trucks and dumped into Upper New York Bay.[6]

It was basically in the 40's and 50's. It didn't have the big corporate backing of an NBC or CBS. Sadly most of its library of programs seems to have been dumped in a river in the 70's.

A part of history wiped out, just like that.

Now all those wild theories about human kind having been more advanced a million years ago don't seem so farfetched. lol.
