More teen girls says they use rhythm method of birth control

A growing number of teenage girls say they use the rhythm method of birth control, and more teens also said it is all right for an unmarried female to have a baby, according to a government survey released Wednesday.

About 17 percent of sexually experienced teen girls told researchers for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that they had used the rhythm method -- timing their sex to avoid fertile days to prevent getting pregnant. That figure is up from 11 percent in a similar survey in 2002.

so, what?

Sounds like an alarming reason to mandate sex education in school.

Actually, the day may be at hand for the planned obsolescence of the penis.  It is only a matter of time before we can manufacture sperm, and what woman wouldn't want a perfectly engineered sperm versus that provided by men, which is laden with potential harmful disease and genetic defects.

What is the percent of women today being artificially inseminated?  I am sure that number continues to jump with each passing year.  Women have come to realize they simply do not need men to have the family they want.  As I said, in the not too distant future, science will give them the perfect engineered sperm.

Okay, well non-religiously oriented sex ed.

Our sex-ed is explicit and tells the kids that if it feels good do it, Planned Parenthood is in charge of much of the sex-ed classes in this country and you know where their money comes from. The problem is they are telling kids to go out and do anything that moves.

I totally agree. The public schools and the Hollyweird culture are the two big reasons that more and more little girls are becoming sluts. They are trying to turn us into Tokyo.

Okay, well non-religiously oriented sex ed.

There is no religiously oriented sex-ed in public schools. They tell the kids if it feels good do it, do it in the bushes with strangers and don't knock homo sex until you try it.

That is pretty much what public schools are telling kids.

We should WISH the schools would teach a little morality but they churn out little hedonistic monsters instead.

I'd rather us become like much of the Western world, where kids are taught about the consequences of sex as well as truthful instructions on minimizing the risks.  Teenage pregnancy, Abortion, and STD rates are what we should be basing our Sex Ed programs off of, in the secular education world, not... Using those comparisons, and not the pretense that we're more moral, should be the driving factor in educational decisions IMO.
